Dr. Julie Whang, DDS, MS

Dr. Julie Whang is a graduate of the University of Southern California Dental School, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.  She received her orthodontic training at the University of California Los Angeles Dental School and also holds a Masters degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. Dr. Whang's goal is to continually advance her knowledge in this area by attending annual orthodontic meetings and pursuing continuing education.

“Correcting a patient’s dental occlusion and giving him or her a bite and smile that improves their oral health is the obvious benefit of braces. However, it also benefits their personal lives by increasing confidence and self-esteem. I love helping my patients achieve both goals by providing comfortable care in a friendly environment that puts them at ease every time they visit.”

Family played a huge part in her upbringing, and her role model was her dad, who is a dentist. His commitment to the profession inspired Dr. Whang to become a dentist. Dr. Whang strongly believes in the importance of giving back to her community.  In her spare time, she continues to support families, whether it's her own or someone else's. She volunteers as a board member of KFAM, a non-profit organization in Los Angeles that supports Korean American families with education, counseling, and other social services.
