Dr. Michael Thai

Dr. Michael Thai believes that providing customized dental care involves understanding the unique needs of each of his patients. He focuses on delivering evidence-based dentistry in a professional, caring manner to improve his patients’ oral health and overall well-being.

Dr. Thai received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California.  He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD)  program at USC/LAC Hospital, where he treated more complex cases that focused on implants and trauma cases. He also completed a mini residency program at UCLA for Esthetic Dentistry.   Dr. Thai's commitment to clinical excellence led him to numerous courses by many distinguished clinicians, however he feels  Dr. Frank Spear was his greatest influence.  He is a member of the Spear study club and also has been a part of the Spear Faculty Club for several years.

“It is very exciting for me to be able to use my experience and skills to enhance my patients’ lives, provide quality care, and stay on the cutting edge of dentistry. In order to maintain and improve my technical abilities, I continually pursue dental excellence by attending courses at the most renowned teaching institutions.  In fact, I invest an average of three times the necessary hours of continue education that it required to maintain a dental license.  I use my expertise to educate my patients on the best materials for their personal needs. These range from traditional materials like gold to new and advanced materials and implants.  I believe that staying on the cutting edge of dentistry is a lifelong commitment.” 

In Dr. Thai's personal time, he enjoys staying fit and healthy via sports. He's always been active in some kind of sports throughout his life, which motivated him to gain expertise in treating athletic dental injuries through sports dentistry.
